Curriculum

DiSC® Management continues the DiSC® journey by helping anyone in a management role successfully engage, motivate, and develop their people. By combining DiSC with personalized management insights, participants learn to adapt their approach to each direct report, improving their management effectiveness in real-time. The result is a great management culture that brings out the best in their people.

Students will:

• Discover their DiSC management style
• Develop a set of core management skills that are essential in the modern workplace
• Gain actionable strategies for adapting their management style to each person they manage

Since we will be referencing the Catalyst Learning platform, participants need to bring a laptop, Chromebook, or iPad to class to view this learning resource and their individual feedback. 

Course fee includes required $100.00 DiSC assessment. 

Who Should Enroll

This class is for anyone managing a team or workplace group that wants to understand the benefits and how to apply the DiSC assessment program for their teams or workplace.

Instructor

Mrs. Celeste Barros

Celeste Barros is an educator, facilitator and coach whose work focuses on customized interactive learning programs designed to enhance and build management and leadership skills. She is currently an adjunct faculty member for the Executive Development Center at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Her work has supported the training and development initiatives of organizations throughout every major business sector as well as agencies within the public sector. Since 1995, Celeste has been providing customized development solutions for various clients such as the BIC Corporation, University of Connecticut, United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Massachusetts Water Resource Authority, General Electric Company, Gillette Company, Pfizer, Staples, CIGNA, Aetna U.S. Healthcare, and Magellan Health Services.

Celeste serves as a faculty member for the leadership development program conducted at the International Training Center for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters located in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is also the architect and lead instructor for the leadership and supervisor development program for staff at the University of Connecticut.

As a certified partner for Wiley Publishing, Celeste is an accredited facilitator for The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team® and Everything DiSC® and is a resource for these learning instruments.
