Prepare to earn the globally recognized ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) credential through this comprehensive, instructor-led program at Central Connecticut State University.

This intensive four-day course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to successfully sit for the CQA certification exam. Led by an ASQ-certified instructor, the program provides a structured, in-depth review of the Certified Quality Auditor Body of Knowledge (BoK) and emphasizes practical application of auditing principles in real-world environments.

Participants will explore the full audit lifecycle—including planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up—while developing critical skills in evaluating quality systems, identifying risks, and driving continuous improvement. The course integrates interactive discussions, real-world examples, and practice exam questions to reinforce key concepts and strengthen test readiness.

Topics include:

  • Audit fundamentals and types (internal, supplier, and third-party)
  • Audit planning, preparation, and execution
  • Auditor roles, responsibilities, and ethics
  • Quality systems and standards (including ISO-based frameworks)
  • Data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action verification
  • Risk-based thinking and continuous improvement
  • CQA exam structure, question strategies, and preparation techniques

By the end of the program, participants will have a clear understanding of the CQA exam expectations and a personalized strategy for success.

Who Should Enroll

This program is designed for professionals who are involved in quality auditing and quality management roles.

Instructor

Mr. Mark Roy

Mark is currently working at Cyient LLC as a Quality Project Lead Engineer assisting in AS9100 D Certification and process improvement. Prior employment includes 28 years at Raytheon Technologies/Pratt & Whitney Corporation, working at Pratt & Whitney as the CSMC Sr. Quality Clinic Manager. Mark was responsible for the CSMC Quality Clinic, providing quality expertise across the P&W/Collins Aerospace sites and supply chain. Overall, Mark’s main contributions have centered on leading the development of Quality Management Systems and process control implementation, as well as Supplier Quality & Development. Prior to coming to Pratt, Mark spent 8 years in the US Navy learning every model and type of jet engine used on an aircraft carrier as an aircraft/engine mechanic, 7 years as Quality Inspector, 5 Years as a Quality Manager and 9 years as a Quality and Supplier Quality Engineer. Mark holds ASQ certifications as a Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Quality Manager and Certified Supplier Quality Professional.
